Moments frozen in time, stories waiting to be told

Fine art photography from Amsterdam and beyond

I am Peter Bartelings, a professional photographer based in Amsterdam, specialising in fine art photography and exclusive wall art for interiors. My work focuses on capturing stories through light, atmosphere, and composition.

My mission is not only to photograph Amsterdam’s most iconic landmarks — such as the historic city centre and its UNESCO-listed canal belt, including the Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht, and Prinsengracht, with highlights like the Westerkerk and the Anne Frank House — but also to reveal the hidden beauty of the city. Think of quiet moments, unexpected perspectives, and unique details such as the Rijksmuseum art library (see image) that most people walk past without noticing.

Beyond Amsterdam, my portfolio expands into a wider world of fine art subjects. From urban architecture and landscapes to nature and abstract compositions, each image is created with a strong sense of atmosphere, emotion, and storytelling.

Every photograph is designed to become more than an image — it becomes a visual experience that transforms interiors and invites viewers to see the world differently.
